GRAMMY-winning artists Mary J. Blige, Chris Cornell, Elton John, Madonna, Thomas Newman, Trent Reznor, Howard Shore, and John Williams are among the nominees for the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards, to be held Jan. 15 in Los Angeles.
Billboard has released its Top Artists of 2011 chart with GRAMMY winner Adele ranking No. 1, followed by Rihanna, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and Lil Wayne.
GRAMMY-nominated artist Chris Brown was the top winner at the BET Hip Hop Awards 2011 on Oct. 11 in Atlanta, garnering four awards for Best Hip Hop Video, Perfect Combo Award, Best Featured Verse, and the People's Champ Award for "Look At Me Now" featuring Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes.
Justin Bieber and Eminem each won six awards at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards on May 22 in Las Vegas. Bieber's awards included Top New Artist, Top Pop Album and Top Social Artist and Eminem's wins included Top Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album and Top Rap Album.
According to a Billboard.biz report, three companies are left in the running to purchase Warner Music Group in its entirety, and bidders only interested in purchasing the recorded music unit, including Live Nation Entertainment and Ronald Perelman's MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings Inc., have been eliminated.
