Former Motown Records President Sylvia Rhone may be headed to Sony Music Entertainment to relaunch the company's Portrait Records, according to Billboard.biz.
Justin Bieber and Eminem each won six awards at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards on May 22 in Las Vegas. Bieber's awards included Top New Artist, Top Pop Album and Top Social Artist and Eminem's wins included Top Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album and Top Rap Album.
According to a Billboard.biz report, three companies are left in the running to purchase Warner Music Group in its entirety, and bidders only interested in purchasing the recorded music unit, including Live Nation Entertainment and Ronald Perelman's MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings Inc., have been eliminated.
